Donating To the Community

Project Chromebook/Backpack
Proceeds from this annual project go towards the support of qualified secondary students with new Chromebooks, enabling them to complete their homework assignments online.

This project also funds the purchase of backpacks filled with recommended school supplies at no cost for elementary students.

Education Technology

Donations from this fund go toward the identified needs for technology to support junior and senior high schools throughout the local school districts.  In recent years DCS has donated over $60,000 towards the needed hardware and software that the districts were unable to fund.

Family Support
Proceeds from this fund are allocated to families for basic needs to help them with rent, utilities, and other expenses.  Families are identified through our partnerships with other non-profit organizations.  We match a donor family or a group of donor families with a recipient family to provide funds.

High School Scholarship Program
The DCS Deb Voss Memorial Scholarships are awarded annually to all 5 high schools in the area.  They are intended to provide support to graduating high school seniors who have performed well in the classroom and are in need of financial aid to continue their education in an accredited Vocational/Trade School, Community College, or University.  The scholarships range from $1,000 to $1,200.

Middle School Science Camp

Proceeds from this fund are used to support the DCS sponsorship of the Edna Hill Middle School Science Camp for 6th graders.  Our donation supports those students at the school who, without our help, would not be able to afford to attend this valuable program.

Family Food Support
Proceeds from this fund are used to support DCS's ongoing effort to provide food assistance to needy families.  Grocery gift cards are purchased and then delivered to our partners for distribution to the community.
